Service update: adapting how we regulate


We recognise this is exceptional and uncertain times for everyone.

Our main objective during this time is to ensure we continue to fulfill our statutory duty to protect the public whilst we take account of current Government and public health guidance, ensure the health of our employees, and provide flexibility and support to our registrants who will be working in ever more demanding circumstances.

As for all regulators, we are adapting our ways of working right now. We are, wherever possible, limiting travel and moving to home working for our employees.

We recognise these are fast changing times, and will do our best to keep you up to date with all the information you need. This page will be updated with further changes as required.

Investigations committee panel

We will continue with these and will be in contact with all parties.

We are postponing our hearings until we are in a position to relist. We will be in contact with all hearing participants in relation to this.

No further substantive FTP hearings will take place until 6 July but this will be kept under review.

To ensure service-user safety we will be prioritising the consideration of all interim order activity and the review of existing sanctions.

We will be in direct contact with any Registrants where this applies.

We appreciate going through this process can be an anxious experience and any delays can add to this. Please be assured that we will do everything we can to progress cases given the exceptional circumstances.
