Order

Order: The Interim Conditions of Practice Order made on 24 April 2015 is confirmed, with the conditions of that Order being those first imposed on 28 September 2015, namely:


1. You must notify HCPC within 7 days of taking up employment as a paramedic whether in a paid or voluntary capacity. Any reference to the term ‘employment’ includes work as a paramedic in a paid or voluntary capacity including agency work.


2. In the event of taking up employment as a paramedic, you must provide the HCPC on a quarterly basis with written evidence (obtained from your employer) that your practice has been regularly monitored in relation to your MDT practice.


3. In the event of taking up employment as a paramedic, you must not attend an incident as a lone responder and must only work alongside a qualified and registered paramedic.


4. You must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to these conditions

a. any organisation or person employing you to undertake professional work as a paramedic.
b. any organisation or person contracting with you to undertake professional work as a paramedic.
c. any organisation or person contracting with your employer for you to undertake professional work as a paramedic.
d. any agency you are registered with or apply to be registered with (at the time of application)
e. any prospective employer at the time of your application


5. You must, within seven days, inform the HCPC if you cease to be employed as a paramedic or take up any other or further employment as a paramedic.


6. You must notify the HCPC within seven days of any disciplinary proceedings taken against you in any employment as a paramedic.

Notes

This order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 13 April 2017 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the order becomes available after it was made
