Order

The Interim Conditions of Practice Order (as detailed below) is confirmed.

1) Except in life threatening emergencies, you must not be involved in the direct provision of services to female service users without a chaperone who is registered with the HCPC or another statutory healthcare regulator overseen by the Professional Standards Authority being present at all times during consultation and treatment.

2) You must maintain a record of:

A. the identity of any chaperone including their full name, professional title and professional address;

B. every case where you have been involved in the direct provision of services to female service users in each case signed by the chaperone;

C. every case where you have been involved in the direct provision of services to such female service users in a life threatening emergency and without a chaperone being present.

3) You must provide a copy of these records to the HCPC on a monthly basis, by the 19th day of each month or, alternatively, confirm that there have been no such cases during that period and must make those records available for inspection at all reasonable times by any person authorised to act on behalf of the HCPC.

4) You must promptly inform the HCPC of any change in your employment status and / or if you take up any other or further employment as a Physiotherapist.

5) You must promptly inform the HCPC of any disciplinary proceedings taken against you whilst practising as a Physiotherapist.

6) You must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to these conditions:

A. any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work;

B. any agency you are registered with or apply to be registered with (at the time of application); and

C. any prospective employer (at the time of your application).

Notes

This Interim Order will be reviewed before 9 February 2019.
