Order

The Interim Conditions of Practice Order made on 13 April 2018 and varied on 12 October 2018 is confirmed.

1. You may only apply for, and be employed in, ASYE grade and/or level 1 Social Worker positions.

2. You must notify the HCPC within 14 days of any Social Worker appointment (whether paid or unpaid) you accept within the UK or elsewhere, and provide the HCPC with contact details of your employer and supervisor.

3. You must place yourself and remain under the supervision of a registered social worker and supply details of your supervisor to the HCPC within 14 days of any Social Worker appointment. You must attend upon that supervisor as required and follow their advice and recommendations.

4. You must forward to the HCPC prior to each future reviewing panel a report on your performance as an ASYE grade and/or level 1 Social Worker. Such reports should be sent to the HCPC within 14 days of their completion.

5. You must allow your supervisor to provide information to the HCPC about your progress as an ASYE grade and/or level 1 Social Worker, if so required by the HCPC.

6. You must promptly inform the HCPC if you cease to be employed or take up any other or further employment, as an ASYE or level 1 Social Worker.

7. You must promptly inform the HCPC of any disciplinary proceedings taken against you by your employer.

8. You must immediately inform the following parties that that you are subject to an interim Conditions of Practice Order under the HCPC's fitness to practise procedures, and disclose the conditions listed above, to them:

A. Any organisation or person employing, contracting with, or using you to undertake social work;

B. Any agency you are registered with or apply to be registered with to work as a Social Worker (at the time of application);

C. Any prospective employer with whom you are seeking employment as a Social Worker (at the time of application);

Notes

This order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 2 July 2019 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the Order becomes available after it was made.
