Order

Order: The Interim Conditions of Practice Order that was made on 21 April 2017, as extended and varied by the High Court on 18 October 2018, is confirmed.
1.    You must confine your general professional practice to seeing adult patients only (above the age of 16);
2.    You must confine your paediatric professional practice to seeing child patients (above the age of 10) requiring musculo- skeletal treatment only, for your current employer;
3.    You must place yourself and remain under the direct supervision of a workplace supervisor(s):
A.   for two consultations per month with regard to your adult patients (the consultations must be randomly selected by your supervisor and must include a mix of initial assessments and follow up treatments)
B.   for all children (age 10-16) for initial assessment and discharge appointments only;
(Direct supervision in this context means direct observation of full clinical consultations. The supervisor(s) must be registered as a physiotherist by the HCPC and working at a level of no less than the equivalent of a Band 6 physiotherapist).
4.    You must place yourself and remain under the indirect supervision of a workplace supervisor(s) for all consultations with patients aged 10-16 years of age, any domiciliary visits and a selection of adult consultations (all consultations must be randomly selected by your supervisor and must include a mix of initial assessments and follow up treatments).
(Indirect supervision in this context means a meeting with the supervisor at least every four weeks to review your caseload. The supervisor(s) must be registered as a physiotherist by the HCPC and working at a level of no less than the equivalent of a Band 6 physiotherapist).
5.    You must supply details of any change of supervisor(s) to the HCPC within 7 days of the date of that change of supervisor(s).
6.    You must allow your supervisor to provide information to the HCPC about the standard of your clinical practice within 4 weeks of the date of this hearing and every eight weeks thereafter.
7.    You must confine your out of hours work to planned patients in a clinical or domiciliary setting.
8.    You must not undertake any on-call duties.
9.    You must promptly inform the HCPC if you cease to be employed by your current employer or take up any other or further employment.
10.  You must promptly inform the HCPC of any disciplinary proceedings taken against you by your employer.
11.  You must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to these conditions:
A.   Any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work;
B.   Any agency you are registered with or apply to be registered with (at the time of application); and
C.   Any prospective employer (at the time of your application).

Notes

This Order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 11 April 2019 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the Order becomes available after it was made.
