Allegation
As a registered Paramedic (PA37315) your fitness to practice is impaired by
reason of misconduct. In that:
1. You did not maintain appropriate professional boundaries with Service
User 1, in that:
a. Between 6 July 2018 and 7 July 2018 you sent multiple text
messages to Service User 1, using patient identifiable information
gained in the course of your duty.
2. On 7 July 2018, you sent text messages to Service User 1 whilst attending
another emergency call.
3. On or around the 14 March 2019, you contacted Colleague C and told
them what to say during the formal investigatory interview.
4. Your conduct in relation to allegation 3 above was dishonest.
5. The matters set out in allegations 1 – 4 constitute misconduct.
6. By reason of your misconduct your fitness to practice is impaired.
Proposed Minor Amendment to Allegation
This is to advise you that the Health and Care Professions Council intends to apply to a
Panel of the Conduct and Competence Committee on the day of the hearing to formally
amend the allegation.
The reason for the proposed amendments is to better reflect the evidence which will be
provided to you in full in advance of the final hearing and to clarify the allegation. It is the
HCPC’s position that these proposed amendments are minor in nature and do not affect
the substance of the allegation.
The allegation that will be put before the Panel is as follows:
As a registered Paramedic (PA37315) your fitness to practice is impaired by

User 1, in that, between 6 July 2018 and 7 July 2018:
a. You sent multiple text messages to Service User 1 from your
personal mobile phone;
b. You contacted Service User 1 using patient identifiable
confidential information gained in the course of your duty.
2. On 7 July 2018, you sent text messages to Service User 1 whilst
attending another emergency call.
3. On or around 14 March 2019, you contacted Colleague C and told them
what to say during the formal investigatory interview.
4. Your conduct in relation to allegation 3 above was dishonest
5. The matters set out in allegations 1 – 4 constitute misconduct.
6. By reason of your misconduct your fitness to practice is impaired.
