Allegation
Whilst registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Physiotherapist, you:
1. On 31 July 2018, whilst treating Patient A:
a) Did not record and/or obtain consent to use a heat pack on Patient A;
b) Caused burns to the back/buttocks of Patient A;
c) Did not identify and/or record that Patient A had received a burn to their back/buttocks following their treatment;
d) Did not tell Patient A that they had burns to their back/buttocks;
e) Did not take any action to treat the burns received by Patient A.
2. The matters set out in particulars 1 a) – 1 e) constitute misconduct and/or lack of competence.3. By reason of that misconduct and/or lack of competence, your fitness to practise is impaired.
