Allegation

As a registered Practitioner Psychologist (PYL30660) your fitness to practise is impaired by reason of misconduct. In that:

1. Between 19 December 2019 and 13 February 2020, you completed a fraudulent Psychological Report dated 13 February 2020 for Child Z, in that you purported that the report was written by Colleague X when this was not the case.

2. On or around 13 February 2020, you:

(a) submitted the report to Child Z’s school;

(b) in respect of 2(a) above, did so in an attempt to inappropriately influence Child Z’s schooling;

3. On or around 10 March 2020 you sent the report to Person A.

4. Your conduct in relation to allegations 1 and/or 2(a) and/or 2(b) and/or 3 was dishonest.

5. The matters set out in allegations 1 to 4 constitute misconduct.

6. By reason of your misconduct your fitness to practise is impaired

This is a review of a Suspension Order imposed on 3 February 2022 for a period of 3 months.
This order is due to expire on 3 June 2022.

Allegation

The following Allegation was considered by a Panel of the Conduct and Competence Committee at a Substantive Hearing on 31 January 2022 – 3 February 2022.
As a registered Practitioner Psychologist (PYL30660) your fitness to practise is impaired by reason of misconduct. In that:

1. Between 19 December 2019 and 13 February 2020, you completed a fraudulent Psychological Report dated 13 February 2020 for Child Z, in that you purported that the report was written by Colleague X when this was not the case.

Preliminary Matters
1. The Panel has been convened to undertake a review of a substantive order of suspension. It is a review being undertaken pursuant to Article 30 of the Health Professions Order 2001.

Hearing in private

2. Before she opened the HCPC’s case, the Presenting Officer applied for a direction that the entirety of the hearing should be conducted in private. This application was made on the basis that the allegation was connected to the Registrant’s family and there might be mention of the Registrant’s health during the hearing. Accordingly, it was submitted, the direction was required in order to protect the Registrant’s private life. The Panel acceded to the application on the grounds on which it was sought.

ORDER: With effect from the expiry of the current period of suspension, namely from 3 June 2022, there be no further order.
