As a registered Counselling Psychologist (PYL29221) your fitness to practise is impaired by reason of misconduct. In that:


1. Between September 2017 to February 2020 you did not maintain appropriate professional boundaries in relation to Service User A, in that, on one or more occasions:


a. You regularly corresponded with Service User A with your personal phone;


b. You visited Service User A at his flat;


c. You met Service User A with your son, so that your son could help Service User A with his dissertation;


d. You went for a meal with Service User A;


e. You referred to yourself as Service User A’s ‘friend’ to staff at Farmfield’s Hospital.


f. You retrieved Service User A’s possession from his flat to take to the Trevor Gibbens Unit;


g. You agreed to be a custodian of Service User A’s laptop;


h. You gifted Service User A with a number of items including, but not limited to:


I. Old kitchen utensils;

II. A rock with an acrobat figure; and

III. A motivational book

2. The matters set out in Particular 1 above constitute misconduct.

3. By reason of your misconduct your fitness to practise is impaired.
