Finding
The interim conditions of practice order made on 27 May 2021 is confirmed.
Order
The conditions imposed by this Order are varied from those imposed on 25 November 2021 and henceforth will be in the following terms:
(1) Unless and until the steps described in condition (2) below are met, you must not undertake any form of cross-sectional imaging (CT and MRI), intravenous injections, or radio-nuclide imaging unless you are directly supervised by a Radiographer of not less than Band 6.
(2) If your Supervisor (for the avoidance of doubt, that is the Supervisor whom you have notified to the HCPC in compliance with previous conditions, and not any Radiographer providing direct supervision for the purposes of the revised condition (1) above) signs you off as being safe to practise in the areas restricted by condition (1), and you communicate to the HCPC your Supervisor’s agreement that you are safe to practise in those areas, the requirement for direct supervision will cease.
(3) Unless and until the steps taken in condition (2) above are met, you must confine your professional practice to general radiography, which may include working in an Emergency Department. If the steps described in in condition (2) are met, then any restriction imposed by this condition is removed.
(4) You must not undertake any out-of-hours work or on-call duties.
(5) You must place yourself and remain under the supervision of a workplace supervisor who must be at least a Band 6 Radiographer registered by the HCPC and supply details of your supervisor to the HCPC within 14 days of taking up work as a general Radiographer. You must attend upon that supervisor as required and follow their advice and recommendations.
(6) From the date that you take up work as a general Radiographer, you must meet with your workplace supervisor on a fortnightly basis to discuss the level of you clinical competence and conduct in accordance with your job description.
(7) You must request that your workplace supervisor provides a report to the HCPC at least 14 days before an interim orders’ review hearing. [The report may include, but is not limited to, your level of clinical knowledge, your compliance with IR(ME)R 2017 and IRR 2017, and your management of patient needs.]
(8) You must promptly inform the HCPC if you cease to be employed by your current employer or take up any other or further employment.
(9) You must promptly inform the HCPC of any disciplinary proceedings taken against you by your employer.
(10) You must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to these conditions:
(A) any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work;
(B) any agency you are registered with or apply to be registered with (at the time of application); and,
(C) any prospective employer (at the time of your application).
Notes
Right to Apply to the Court
Under Article 31(12) of the Health Professions Order 2001, you may apply to the appropriate court to revoke the conditions imposed by this order.
