Allegation
As a registered Operating Department Practitioner (ODP33135), your fitness to practice is impaired by reason of your misconduct. In that:
1. On or around 18 May 2019, you:
a) Undertook secondary paid employment at the Spire Leicester Hospital whilst absent from work due to sickness, and receiving sick pay from your substantive employment at Kettering General Hospital.
b) You attended for work at Spire Leicester Hospital while declared as not fit for work by your GP on a fit note dated 8 May 2019 to 3 June 2019, thereby putting patients at risk.
2. On or around 5 June 2019, you falsely answered, ‘no’, when you were asked if you had worked anywhere else in a secondary organisation or role whilst being on long term sick.
3. Your conduct in allegations 1 and 2 above was dishonest.
4. The matters set out in allegations 1, 2 and 3 constitute misconduct.
5. By reason of your misconduct your fitness to practice is impaired.
