Allegation
As a registered Physiotherapist (PH100345) your fitness to practise is impaired by reason of misconduct. In that:
1. On 12 December, in relation to Patient A, you did not:
a) Obtain and/or document a complete medical history;
b) Measure and/or record baseline mobility;
c) Measure and/or record the range of motion in Patient A’s joints, passive or active;
d) Measure and/or document the muscle strength or tone in the main lower limb muscle groups;
e) Assess the wound area;
f) Examine the patient on the couch;
g) Adequately record the treatment and/or advice provided.
2. On 14 December, in relation to Patient A, you did not:
a) Measure and/or record the range of motion in Patient A’s joints, passive or active;
b) Measure and/or document the muscle strength or tone in the main lower limb muscle groups;
c) Adequately record the treatment and/or advice provided;
d) Provide clear instructions in relation to the use of a second crutch.
3. The matters described in particulars 1 – 2 constitute misconduct.
