Allegation
As a registered Paramedic (PA05556) your fitness to practise is impaired by reason of misconduct. In that:
1. On 29 June 2018, whilst working as a Paramedic for North West Ambulance Service, you did not ensure Service User A received adequate treatment and / or care. In that:
a) You did not sufficiently consider Service User A’s presenting symptoms and / or the given history in regard to the reported overdose of co-codamol in that you did not consider and / or administer naloxone hydrochloride when this was indicated;
b) You delegated care of Service User A to an Emergency Medical Technician when it was not appropriate to do so:
i. When you went to collect the carry chair from the ambulance;
ii. During the transfer to hospital.
2. On 29 June 2018, you did not ensure that accurate and complete records for Service User A were maintained.
3. The matters set out in allegations 1 and 2 above constitute misconduct.
4. By reason of your misconduct your fitness to practise is impaired.
