Allegation
As a registered Practitioner Psychologist (PYL16390) your fitness to practise is impaired by reason of misconduct. In that:
1. On or around 8 February 2016, you:
a. Did not communicate effectively and/or explain your intentions of assessing Person A during the consultation.
b. Did not seek and/or obtain informed consent from Person A to:
i. carry out the assessment;
ii. document or record the sensitive personal information provided by Person A.
c. Did not respect Person A’s confidentiality by not giving the option on whether Person A wanted her son and the social work assistant present during the consultation.
d. Continued questioning Person A despite Person A showing signs of distress and requesting for the questions to stop.
e. Did not keep accurate records in that you did not record Person A’s objection to questioning during the consultation.
2. The matters set out in allegation 1 above constitutes misconduct.
3. By reason of your misconduct your fitness to practise is impaired
