Allegation

As a registered Physiotherapist (PH46528):

1. On 13 January 2023 you were convicted at Perth Sheriff Court of:  

a) Driving a motor vehicle after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in your blood was 236 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood which exceeded the prescribed limit, namely 50 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 milligrammes of blood; contrary to the Road Traffic Act 1988, Section 5(1)(a). 

b) Driving a mechanically propelled vehicle dangerously in that you did fail to slow your vehicle, collide with a preceding vehicle at speed causing extensive damage to both vehicles and serious injury to another; contrary to the Road Traffic Act 1988, Section 2 as amended. 

2. You did not inform the HCPC as soon as possible that you had been charged with and/or convicted of the offence in particulars 1a and/or 1b above.  

3. Your conduct at particular 2 above was dishonest in that you sought to conceal the existence of your charges and/or convictions from the HCPC. 

4. The matters set out in particulars 2 and/or 3 above constitute misconduct.

5. By reason of the matters set out above, your fitness to practise is impaired by reason of conviction and/or misconduct.
