Allegation
As a registered Paramedic (PA052671):
- On 26 March 2022, you were in the driver seat of a vehicle while being over the prescribed legal limit for alcohol with 55 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
2. You did not inform the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as soon as possible that you had been charged with an offence of being in charge of a motor vehicle after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in your breath, namely 55 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit contrary to section 5(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 of the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
3. Your conduct at 2 was dishonest in that you knew you were required to inform the HCPC of the charge as soon as possible.
4. The matters set out at particulars 1, 2 and/or 3 amount to misconduct.
5. By reason of the matters set out above, your fitness to practise is impaired by reason of misconduct.
