Order
ORDER: The Registrar is directed to continue the Interim Conditions of Practice Order, as follows:
1) You must not have any contact with a child under 16 in a professional capacity.
2) You must confine your professional practice to a single employer.
3) You must confine your professional practice to a non-patient facing role.
4) You must place yourself and remain under the indirect supervision of a workplace supervisor, registered with the HCPC or other appropriate statutory regulator and who is of equivalent or higher clinical grade to you, and supply details of your supervisor to the HCPC within seven days. You must attend upon that supervisor as required and follow their advice and recommendations.
5) You must ensure that your supervisor sends a progress report to the HCPC before any HCPC review of this Order. This report should comment on your compliance with these Interim Conditions of Practice.
6) You must inform the HCPC within seven days if your employment as a Biomedical Scientist is terminated, whether by you or by your current or any future employer.
7) You must inform the HCPC within seven days of any other appointment as a Biomedical Scientist that you accept within the UK or elsewhere and provide the HCPC with the contact details of your employer.
8) You must inform the HCPC within seven days of becoming aware of:
A. any investigation started against you; and
B. any disciplinary proceedings taken against you.
9) You must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to the interim conditions in this Order:
A. any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work as a Biomedical Scientist; and
B. any prospective employer (at the time of your application).
Notes
The Order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 28 November 2026 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the Order becomes available after it was made.
