The Interim Conditions of Practice Order made on 14 August 2023 is varied. The varied conditions are:

(1) You must not undertake any ultrasound scans unless you are:

(i) directly supervised by an HCPC-registered Radiographer who is a qualified Sonographer; and 

(ii) enrolled on and/or have passed a UK standard CASE accredited course in Sonography.

(2) You must promptly inform the HCPC if you take up any employment for which your HCPC Registration is required. 

(3) You must promptly inform the HCPC if you become subject to any proceedings relating to discipline or competence in any area of Radiography practice. 

(4) You must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to these conditions: 

A. Any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work; 

B. Any agency you are registered with or apply to be registered with (at the time of application); and 

C. prospective employer (at the time of your application).

This order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 26 November 2026 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the Order becomes available after it was made.
