Order

The Interim Conditions of Practice Order made on 22 October 2025 is confirmed. 

Miss Amber Mainland, must comply with the following interim conditions of practice: 

1.    You must inform the HCPC within seven days, if you take up any work requiring your registration as a Paramedic.

2.    You must confine your professional practice as a Paramedic to one substantive employer within the NHS.

3.    You must not carry out any agency work or carry out professional work in a private practice setting.

4.    You must not perform any frontline duties as a Paramedic unless accompanied by another Paramedic of Band 6 or above, registered with the HCPC.

5.    You must place yourself and remain under the indirect supervision of a workplace supervisor registered by the HCPC or other appropriate statutory regulator and supply details of your workplace supervisor to the HCPC within 7 days of identifying a workplace supervisor but no later than 14 days after starting the role. You must attend upon that supervisor as required and follow their advice and recommendations.

6.    Before the next review, you must arrange for your workplace supervisor to provide a report to the HCPC, covering your performance as a Paramedic with particular reference to any frontline duties performed by you as a Paramedic in the preceding period.

7.    Prior to the next review you must satisfactorily complete CPD in leadership and traumatic cardiac arrest, such as Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support, and any other relevant CPD courses.

8.    You must inform the HCPC within seven days, if you cease to be employed by your current employer.

9.    You must inform the HCPC, within seven days of becoming aware of:

A.    any patient safety incident you are involved in; 
B.    any investigation started against you; and 
C.    any disciplinary proceedings taken against you. 

10.    You must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to these conditions:

A.    any organisation or person, employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work;
B.    any prospective employer for professional work (at the time of your application).

11.    You must allow the HCPC to share, as necessary, details about your performance, compliance with, and/or progress under these conditions with:

A.    any organisation or person, employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work;
B.    any prospective employer for professional work (at the time of your application). 

Notes

This order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 7 October 2026 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the Order becomes available after it was made.
