Allegation
As a registered Speech and language therapist (SL31070):
1. On 27 October 2021 you were convicted at South Sefton Magistrates Court
of the offence of driving a motor vehicle after consuming so much alcohol that
the proportion in your breath, namely 111 microgrammes of alcohol in 100
millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.
2. You did not inform the HCPC in a timely manner that:
a) You had been charged with the offence, set out in particular 1 above, on or
around 27 September 2021.
b) You had been convicted of the offence, set out in particular 1 above, on 27
October 2021.
3. Your conduct in relation to particular 2 above was dishonest in that you
knew you had an obligation to disclose the criminal charge and/or conviction
to the HCPC in a timely manner.
4. The matters set out in Particular 2 and/or 3, above, constitute misconduct.
5. By reason of the matters set out above, your fitness to practice is impaired
by reason of conviction and/or misconduct
