Order
ORDER: The Interim Conditions of Practice Order made on 27 February 2026 is varied. The Conditions are:
1. You must confine your professional practice (paid or unpaid) to working for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
2. You must not be involved in any perioperative procedures unless indirectly supervised by another healthcare professional registered with the HCPC or other appropriate statutory regulator (for the avoidance of any doubt, a student cannot provide this supervision). For the purpose of this Condition 2, indirect supervision means that there must be another registered healthcare professional in the room with you at all times.
3. You must place yourself and remain under the supervision of a work place supervisor registered with the HCPC or other appropriate statutory regulator and supply details of your supervisor to the HCPC within seven days. You must attend upon that supervisor as required and follow their advice and recommendations.
4. You must maintain a log of all the anaesthesia procedures in which you are involved. The log should include the time, date, type of case and any concerns raised about your practice by any professional working with you.
5. You must make the log available to your workplace supervisor to review and must provide a copy of the log to the HCPC before any review of the Interim Order.
6. You must arrange for a report to be provided by your workplace supervisor to the HCPC in advance of any review of the Interim Order. The report should comment on your practice, including your professionalism and provide a review of your log, identifying any concerns which may have been raised.
7. You must inform the HCPC within 7 days if you cease to be employed by your current employer.
8. You must inform the HCPC within 7 days of becoming aware of:
A. any patient safety incident you are involved in;
B. any investigation started against you; and
C. any disciplinary proceedings taken against you.
9. You must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to these conditions:
A. your current employer;
B. any organisation through which you are undertaking professional training;
10. You must allow the HCPC to share, as necessary, details about your performance, compliance with, and/or progress under these conditions with:
A. your current employer;
B. any organisation through which you are undertaking professional training;
11. You will be responsible for meeting any and all costs associated with complying with these conditions.
12. Any condition requiring you to provide any information to the HCPC is to be met by you sending the information to the offices of the HCPC, marked for the attention of the relevant Case Manager.
Notes
This Order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 29 August 2026 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the Order becomes available after it was made.
