Order

Order: The Registrar is directed to annotate the Register to show that, for a period of 18 months from the date that this Order comes into effect (“the Operative Date”), you, Mr Alan D Mitchell, must comply with the following conditions of practice:


1. The Registrant shall not undertake any patient-facing clinical practice (“see and treat”).

2. The Registrant shall not undertake any non-patient- facing clinical practice (“hear and treat”).

3. The Registrant shall not practice as a Paramedic nor undertake any activity as a Paramedic Trainer other than through the business of Meridian Medex (and any other trading name under which that business trades).

4. When undertaking any activity as a Paramedic Trainer through Meridian Medex, the Registrant must at all times work in the physical presence of another Registered Paramedic.

5. The Registrant shall provide to the HCPC by 1 September 2016 and by 1 November 2016, a Log of all training activity carried out under condition 4, indicating clearly:


i. The date, time and location of any training he has provided.


ii. The full name of the client(s).


iii. A clear description of the training activity.


iv. The full name of the Registered Paramedic working with him in terms of condition 4 above.

6. The Registrant shall seek to obtain the signature of the Registered Paramedic with whom he delivers training in respect of each entry in the Log.

This order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 24 December 2016 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the order becomes available after it was made.

Right to apply to the Court:


Under Article 31(12) of the Health and Social Work Professions Order 2001, you may apply to the appropriate court to revoke or vary the conditions imposed. In this case the appropriate court is the High Court in England and Wales.
