Our Tribunal Centre is fully accessible and our hearing rooms have a range of resources to facilitate the logistical and technical needs of hearing participants. We have eight hearing rooms over two floors which include two separate witness waiting areas. Each hearing room has a corresponding private room for the registrant and their representative.
Assistance dogs are welcomed.
If you would like more information on our tribunal centre and its facilities please speak to the Tribunal Services team.
Hearings that take place away from the Tribunal Centre usually take place in conference facilities.
If you are attending a hearing at a venue that is not the Tribunal Centre please discuss any accessibility needs with the Tribunal Service team in advance of the hearing.
Assistive listening device for meetings
We have an assistive listening system available for use at our Tribunal Centre.
If you would like information about using the system, and to ensure that it is available at the meeting you are due to attend, please contact the Tribunal Service by email on firstname.lastname@example.org
What is an assistive listening system?
Deaf people can find it difficult to hear in large venues because of poor acoustics, often made worse by background noise and competing sounds.
Assistive listening devices replace the sound path between the sound source and the deaf person with a signal that is not affected by acoustics, or other sounds.
HCPTS uses a portable hearing loop within its reception area and for hearings. This means it may be used at venues that are not the Tribunal Centre. If you require use of a hearing loop please contact the Tribunal Services team.
