Order

ORDER:

The Registrar is directed to annotate the HCPC Register to show that, for 18 months, from the date that this Order takes effect (“the Operative Date”), you, Robert Skinner, must comply with the following conditions of practice:


1. Your current workplace must confirm to the HCPC in writing within 14 days of the Operative Date that it is able and willing to comply with these Conditions of Practice.

2. You are to restrict yourself to working with a single employer. You must not work for an agency or undertake bank work.

3. You must place yourself and remain under the supervision of your workplace supervisor, who must be registered by the HCPC or other appropriate statutory regulator. You must supply details of your supervisor to the HCPC within 14 days of the Operative Date. You must attend upon that supervisor as required and follow their advice and recommendations;

4. Your supervisor must have access to the records and case files of all the patients under your care. The workplace supervisor is to review your written records once a week prior to your next working day to ensure that you are:
a. recording actions in a timely manner;
b. completing any actions and follow up required;
c. reviewing appointment bookings;
d. ensuring that care plans are undertaken;
e. completing correspondence to other healthcare professionals, including prescription requests.

5. Prior to any future HCPC hearing, your workplace supervisor must provide a written report on the issues outlined in Condition 4 and also about how you are progressing in your role. This must be provided at least 14 days before any hearing.

6. You must undertake clinical supervision with an appropriately qualified and HCPC registered dietitian. You must keep notes of these supervision sessions and make the notes available to the HCPC if requested.

7. You must:
a. remain under the care of your GP, inform them that you are subject to these Conditions;
b. provide updated medical evidence from your GP on how you are managing your health condition. This is to be provided at least 14 days before any hearing;
c. keep your professional commitments under review and limit your professional practice in accordance with the advice of your GP;
d. cease practising immediately if you are advised to do so by your GP and inform the HCPC within seven days of receiving this advice

8. You must inform the HCPC within seven days if you change employers;

9. You must inform the HCPC within seven days if you take up work requiring registration with a professional body outside the United Kingdom;

10. You must inform the HCPC within seven days of becoming aware of:
a. any patient safety incident you are involved in;
b. any investigation started against you;
c. any disciplinary proceedings taken against you.

11. You must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to these conditions:
a. Any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work;
b. any prospective employer (at the time of your application)’
c. any organisation through which you are undertaking professional training

12. You must allow the HCPC to share, as necessary, details about your performance, compliance with, and/or progress under these conditions with:
a. any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional;
b. any prospective employer for professional work (at the time of your application);
c. any organisation through which you are undertaking professional training.

Notes

This order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 22 October 2024 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the Order becomes available after it was made.
