The Registrar is directed to annotate the HCPC Register to show that, for a period of 18 months, you, Miss Ruth Wangithi Gathungu, must comply with the following interim conditions of practice:

1. You must not carry out work as an Operating Department Practitioner unless you work in a supernumerary capacity, and you must not undertake any out-of-hours or on-call duties.

2. You must place yourself and remain under the supervision of a workplace supervisor registered by the HCPC or other appropriate statutory regulator and supply details of your supervisor to the HCPC by 4:00pm on Friday 13 October 2023. You must attend upon that supervisor as required and follow their advice and recommendations.

3. You must provide reports from your workplace supervisor to the HCPC every month.

4. You must promptly inform the HCPC if you cease to be employed by your current employer or take up any other or further employment.

5. You must promptly inform the HCPC of any disciplinary or capability proceedings taken against you by your employer.

6. By 4:00pm on Tuesday 10 October 2023, you must send a copy of these conditions to your current employer.

7. By 4:00pm on Wednesday 11 October 2023, you must send the HCPC a document demonstrating that you have sent a copy of these conditions to your current employer.

8. If you cease to be employed by your current employer or take up any other or further professional employment, you must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to these conditions:

A. any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work;

B. any agency you are registered with or apply to be registered with (at the time of application); and

C. any prospective employer (at the time of your application).

9. Any condition requiring you to provide any information to the HCPC is to be met by you sending the information to the relevant HCPC Case Manager.

This Interim Order will be reviewed by 06 April 2024.
