ORDER: The Registrar is directed to annotate the HCPC Register to show that for the remaining period of the interim order, you, Ms Sophie Powell, must comply with the following Interim Conditions of Practice:

1) You must confine your practice as a Paramedic to working exclusively for the YAS; You must not work for an agency.

2) You must place yourself and remain under the supervision of a workplace supervisor registered by the HCPC and appointed by the YAS. You must supply the details of your supervisor to the HCPC within 14 days of today. You must attend upon that supervisor as required and follow that person’s advice and recommendations.

3) You must practise as a Paramedic only in such roles as you are deemed safe and competent to perform by your workplace supervisor.

4) You must have regular meetings with your workplace supervisor as may be required by your supervisor in order to review your practice.

5) You must produce a report from your workplace supervisor as to the manner in which you have performed the role/s which you had been required to perform; this report must be furnished to the HCPC 14 days before the next review hearing.

6) You must promptly inform the HCPC of any disciplinary proceedings taken against you by your employer.

7) You must promptly inform the HCPC if you cease to be employed by YAS.

8) You must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to these conditions:

a) YAS; and

b) any prospective employer (at the time of application).

This order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 26 April 2024 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the Order becomes available after it was made.
