Order
ORDER: The Registrar is directed to annotate the HCPC Register to show that, for a period of 18 months from today’s date, you, Leon Asgari, must comply with the following interim conditions of practice:
1. You must only be employed as a paramedic with Yorkshire Ambulance Service. You must not undertake any agency work;
2. When working as a paramedic on front-line duties, you must always work in the company of another registered paramedic and must never be alone with a patient or service user;
3. You must place yourself and remain under the supervision of a workplace supervisor or mentor registered by the HCPC or other appropriate statutory regulator and supply details of your supervisor to the HCPC within two weeks of the Operative Date.
4. You must attend monthly meetings with that supervisor or mentor, with a view to developing your understanding of professional boundaries (which must include attending appropriate courses on the subject) and follow their advice and recommendations.
5. You must provide a report to the HCPC from your supervisor detailing your progress in relation to your understanding of professional boundaries every three months and in any event, no later than two weeks before any review of this order.
6. You must promptly inform the HCPC if you cease to be employed by your current employer. You must not take up any other or further employment as a paramedic without first obtaining the permission of the HCPC.
7. You must promptly inform the HCPC of any disciplinary proceedings taken against you by your employer.
8. You must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to these conditions:
A. any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work;
B. any prospective employer (at the time of your application)
Notes
This order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 21 December 2024 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the Order becomes available after it was made.
Under Article 31(12) of the Health Professions Order 2001, an application may be made to the appropriate court to revoke or vary the conditions imposed.
