ORDER: The Interim Conditions of Practice Order made on 8 May 2024 is varied. The conditions imposed by this Order are:

(1) You must confine your professional practice as a Physiotherapist to an NHS post at Band 5 working in a hospital or clinic setting. You must not undertake any on-call or out of hours work.

(2) You must place yourself and remain under the indirect supervision of a Band 6 or above physiotherapist registered by the HCPC and supply details of your supervisor to the HCPC within 14 days of the Operative Date. You must attend upon that supervisor as required and follow their advice and recommendations.

(3) You must arrange for weekly supervisions with a particular emphasis on patient safety, assessing red flags and accuracy of note taking.

(4) You must obtain from your supervisor a report describing your clinical performance and your engagement with that supervisor, and you must submit that report to the HCPC two weeks before the date of the review of this interim conditions of practice order.

(5) You must inform the HCPC within seven days if you take up professional work.

(6) You must inform the HCPC within seven days of becoming aware of:

f. any patient safety incident you are involved in;

g. any investigation started against you;

h. and any disciplinary proceedings taken against you.

(7) You must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to these conditions:

a. any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work, such notification to be made as soon as possible;

b. any agency you are registered with or apply to be registered with to undertake professional work (at the time of application);

c. any prospective employer for professional work (at the time of your application).

(8) You must allow the HCPC to share, as necessary, details about your performance, compliance with, and/or progress under these conditions with:

a. any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work;

b. any prospective employer for professional work (at the time of your application).

This order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 22 February 2025 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the Order becomes available after it was made.
