Order
ORDER: The Interim Conditions of Practice Order made on 30 November 2023 is varied. When practising in any role as a Paramedic, the conditions are:

2. You must see your GP prior to your next review. This meeting must be face-to-face or via telephone. You must provide the HCPC with a GP’s report, no later than five working days prior to each future review, on your health conditions, and these should cover your compliance with any treatment you are undergoing, any current medication you are taking, and any prognosis as to the state of your health.
3. You must inform your GP about these conditions of practice.

5. You must provide your GP with the results of any drug or alcohol tests undertaken by you.
6. Whilst working as a Paramedic you must confine your professional practice to working with only one employer at any time.
7. You must cease practising immediately if you are advised to do so by your GP. You must inform the HCPC within seven days of receiving this advice.
8. If you change GP, you must register with and remain under the care of another GP and inform them that you are subject to these conditions. You must provide the HCPC with the contact details of any new GP within seven days of changing GP.
9. You will be responsible for meeting any and all costs associated with complying with these conditions.
10. Any condition requiring you to provide information to the HCPC is to be met by you sending the information by email to the relevant Case Manager.
11. You must promptly inform the HCPC within seven days if you take up any employment as a Paramedic.
12. You must promptly inform the HCPC of any disciplinary proceedings taken against you.
13. You must inform the HCPC within seven days if you take up work requiring registration with a professional body outside the United Kingdom, and
14. You must inform the HCPC within seven days of returning to practise in the United Kingdom.
15. You must inform the HCPC within seven days of becoming aware of:
A. any patient safety incident you are involved in;
B. any investigation started against you; and
C. any disciplinary proceedings taken against you.
16. You must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to these conditions:
A. any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work;
B. any agency you are registered with or apply to be registered with (at the time of application);
C. any prospective employer (at the time of application);
D. any organisation through which you are undertaking professional training;
E. any healthcare professional involved with your current treatment for drug/alcohol misuse.
Notes
This Order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 22 February 2025 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the Order becomes available after it was made.
