Order

ORDER:
The Interim Conditions of Practice Order imposed on 11 April 2024 is confirmed. It is in the following terms.


The Registrar is directed to place Conditions of Practice, on the name of Ms Rachael Hardy, on an interim basis, for a period of 18 months. The conditions are as follows:


1)You must confine your professional practice to employment at the East Midland’s Ambulance Service.


2) You must not carry out any patient facing duties until such time as you are approved to do so by an occupational health specialist as fit to do so.


3) Upon return to patient facing duties, you must not carry out any solo responding.


4) You must register with and remain under the care of a general practitioner and occupational health specialist and inform them that you are subject to these conditions.


5) You must authorise your general practitioner and occupational health specialist to provide the HCPC with information about your health and any treatment you are receiving.


6) You must arrange for the provision of reports from your general practitioner and occupational health specialist and/or your employer to the HCPC fourteen days prior to any review hearing. These reports should cover compliance with treatment and current fitness to practice.


7) You must cease practising immediately if you are advised to do so by your occupational health specialist. You must inform the HCPC within seven days of receiving this advice.

8) You must limit your consumption of alcohol as advised by your general practitioner and/or other specialist healthcare professional.

9) You must inform the HCPC within seven days if you cease to be employed by your current employer.


10)You must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to these conditions:


a) any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work;


b) the occupational health provider for your current employer

 

11)You must allow the HCPC to share, as necessary, details about your performance, compliance with, and/or progress under these conditions with:


A. any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work;


B. any prospective employer for professional work (at the time of your application);


C. any medical professional involved with any treatment you may receive for alcohol dependency;


D. the occupational health provider for your current employer.

Notes

This order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 09 January 2025 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the Order becomes available after it was made.
