Order
ORDER: The Registrar is directed to annotate the Register to show that, for a period of 18 months from the date that this Order comes into effect, you, Ateeq Ur Rehman, must comply with the following conditions of practice:
1. You must only be employed by one substantive employer at a time for the purposes of providing professional services as a Physiotherapist, which employer shall not be an employment agency.
2. You must only provide professional services as a physiotherapist at your employer’s place of business, and you must not carry out visits to a service users private residence.
3. You must only provide professional services as a Physiotherapist when indirectly supervised by a HCPC registered physiotherapist who has more clinical experience of working in the UK than you.
4. Except in life threatening emergencies, you must not be involved in the direct provision of services to female service users, and you must only treat male service users over the age of 18.
5. You must appoint a HCPC registered physiotherapist, who has more clinical experience of working in the UK than you, as your supervisor to formulate a Personal Development Plan to address the following areas:
• Record Keeping
• Consent
• Professional Boundaries
• Communication
6. Within 3 months of commencement of employment you must forward a copy of your Personal Development Plan to the HCPC.
7. You must:
a. meet with your supervisor at least once each calendar month to consider your progress towards achieving the aims set out in your Personal Development Plan;
b. follow the advice and recommendations of your supervisor;
c. allow your supervisor to provide information to the HCPC about your progress towards achieving the aims set out in your Personal Development Plan;
d. supply details of your supervisor to the HCPC within 14 days of commencing employment;
8. You must arrange for your supervisor to provide a report to the HCPC about your progress towards achieving the aims set out in your personal development plan and your compliance with these conditions within 3 months of commencement of any employment and every three months thereafter.
9. You must inform the HCPC within seven days if you cease to be employed as a Physiotherapist.
10. You must inform the HCPC within seven days if you take up any other or further professional work as a Physiotherapist.
11. You must inform the HCPC within 7 days if you take up work requiring registration with a professional body outside the United Kingdom.
12. You must inform the HCPC within 7 days of returning to practice in the United Kingdom.
13. You must inform the HCPC within seven days of becoming aware of:
a. any patient safety incident you are involved in;
b. any investigation started against you; and
c. any disciplinary proceedings taken against you.
14. You must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to these conditions:
a. any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work;
b. any agency you are registered with or apply to be registered with to undertake professional work (at the time of application);
c. any prospective employer for professional work (at the time of your application);
d. any organisation through which you are undertaking professional training;
e. any supervisor required by these conditions.
15. You must allow the HCPC to share, as necessary, details about your performance, compliance with, and / or progress under these conditions with:
a. any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work;
b. any agency you are registered with or apply to be registered with to undertake professional work (at the time of application);
c. any prospective employer for professional work (at the time of your application);
d. any organisation through which you are undertaking professional training;
16. You will be responsible for meeting any and all costs associated with complying with these conditions.
17. Any condition requiring you to provide information to the HCPC is to be met by you sending the information to the offices of the HCPC, marked for the attention of the relevant case manager.
Notes
This order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 12 March 2025 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the Order becomes available after it was made.
