Order
ORDER: The Registrar is directed to annotate the HCPC Register on an interim basis to show that, for a period of 18 months, you, Alison Kaatze, must comply with the following conditions of practice:
1. You must confine your professional practice to working for a single employer who can provide direct supervision of your work.
2. You must not carry out any locum work.
3. You must not undertake any work which involves emergency ambulance services.
4. You must place yourself and remain under the direct supervision of a workplace supervisor registered by the HCPC or other relevant statutory regulator and supply details of your supervisor to the HCPC within 14 days of the supervisor being identified. You must attend upon that supervisor as required and follow their advice and recommendations.
5. You must meet with your supervisor on a monthly basis to consider any clinical competence issues in relation to your practice that might arise.
6. You must work with your supervisor to formulate a Personal Development Plan designed to address your lack of clinical competence, including, but not limited to, providing basic life support for adults and children, completing a secondary survey, managing a failing airway, managing controlled drugs, clinical decision making, and clinical documentation.
7. Within three months of this Order you must forward a copy of your Personal Development Plan to the HCPC.
8. You must allow your supervisor to provide information to the HCPC about your progress and any concerns relating to your clinical competence no later than 14 days before any review of this Order.
9. You must promptly inform the HCPC if you cease to be employed by your current employer or take up any other or further employment.
10. You must inform your General Practitioner about these conditions of practice and authorise that person to provide the HCPC with information about your health and any treatment you are receiving.
11. You must keep your professional commitments under review and limit your professional practice in accordance with the advice of your General Practitioner.
12. You must cease practising immediately if you are advised to do so by your General Practitioner. You must inform the HCPC within seven days of receiving this advice.
13. You must promptly inform the HCPC if you become subject to any further disciplinary proceedings.
14. You must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to these conditions:
A. Any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work;
B. Any agency you are registered with or apply to be registered with (at the time of application); and
C. Any prospective employer (at the time of your application).
Notes
This Order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 11 March 2025 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the Order becomes available after it was made.
Right to Apply to the Court
Under Article 31(12) of the Health Professions Order 2001, you may apply to the appropriate court to revoke or vary the conditions imposed.
