As a registered Paramedic (PA40597) your fitness to practise is impaired by reason of misconduct. In that:

1. Between 24 March and 4 April 2020, you did not ensure and/or record that all necessary observations were undertaken and/or an adequate patient assessment was completed in relation to one or more of the following patients:

a. Patient A in respect of one or more of the following observations and/or assessments:

i. Blood pressure

ii. Blood sugar

iii. The carrying out of an electrocardiogram (ECG)

b. Patient B in respect of one or more of the following observations and/or assessments:

i. Respiration rate

ii. Oxygen saturation levels

iii. Pulse rate

iv. Blood pressure

v. Blood sugar

vi. The carrying out of an ECG

c. Patient C in respect of one or more of the following observations and/or assessments:

i. Blood pressure

ii. The carrying out of an ECG

d. Patient D in respect of one or more of the following observations and/or assessments:

i. Blood pressure

ii. Blood sugar

iii. The carrying out of an ECG

e. Patient E in respect of one or more of the following observations and/or assessments:

i. Blood pressure

ii. The carrying out of an ECG

f. Patient F in respect of one or more of the following observations and/or assessments:

i. Blood pressure

ii. Blood sugar

iii. The carrying out of an ECG

g. Patient G in respect of one or more of the following observations and/or assessments:

i. Blood pressure

ii. The carrying out of an ECG

iii. Pain score

iv. Assessment of character, severity or exacerbation of headache

h. Patient H in respect of one or more of the following observations and/or assessments:

i. Blood pressure

ii. Blood sugar

iii. The carrying out of an ECG

i. Patient I in respect of one or more of the following observations and/or assessments:

i. Blood pressure

ii. The carrying out of an ECG

iii. Review of respiratory system assessment

j. Patient J in respect of one or more of the following observations and/or assessments:

i. Blood pressure

ii. The carrying out of an ECG

k. Patient K in respect of one or more of the following observations and/or assessments:

i. Blood pressure

ii. Pulse rate

iii. Blood sugar

iv. The carrying out of an ECG

i.. Patient L in respect of one or more of the following observations and/or assessments:

i. Blood pressure

ii. The carrying out of an ECG

m. Patient M in respect of one or more of the following observations and/or assessments:

i. Pulse rate

ii. Oxygen saturation

iii. Blood pressure

iv. The carrying out of an ECG

v. Heart rate



2. In or around March 2020, you instructed one or more colleagues not to undertake necessary observations on suspected COVID-19 patients.

3. Between 28 March and 4 April 2020 you:

a. Inappropriately left at home one or more of the patients listed in Schedule A; or

b. Did not obtain a signature from one or more of the patients listed in Schedule A or their responsible person on their patient record form (PRF) regarding their non-conveyance to hospital

4. On 3 April 2020 you did not carry out and/or failed to record the consideration of an alternative care pathway or safeguarding referral for Patient K

5. The matters set out in Particular 1 and/or 2 and/or 3 and/or 4 constitute misconduct.

6. By reason of your misconduct your fitness to practise is impaired.
