Order

The Interim Conditions of Practice Order imposed on 18 September 2024 is varied. The conditions are: 

1. You must confine your professional practice to work for a single employer.

2. You must place yourself and remain under the indirect supervision of a workplace supervisor registered by the HCPC or other appropriate statutory regulator and supply details of your supervisor to the HCPC within 2 weeks of commencing employment. You must inform that supervisor of the full circumstances surrounding your dismissal from employment and attend upon that supervisor as required and follow their advice and recommendations.

3. You must meet with your workplace supervisor on a monthly basis to consider any support they can offer you or any areas in which you would benefit from additional support.

4. You must allow your workplace supervisor to provide information to the HCPC about your progress in the workplace including any areas where you are receiving support. You must provide a Report to the HCPC from your workplace supervisor at least 2 weeks before the next review.

5. You must remain under the care of a General Practitioner and inform them that you are subject to these conditions.

6. You must keep your professional commitments under review and limit your professional practice in accordance with the advice of your General Practitioner or occupational health practitioner.

7. You must cease practising immediately if you are advised to do so by your General Practitioner. You must inform the HCPC within seven days of receiving this advice.

8. You must inform the HCPC within seven days if you take up professional work as a registered Paramedic.

9. You must inform the HCPC within seven days if you take up work requiring registration with a professional body outside the United Kingdom.

10. You must inform the HCPC within seven days of returning to practice in the United Kingdom.

11. You must inform the HCPC within seven days of becoming aware of:

A. any patient safety incident you are involved in;

B. any investigation started against you; and

C. any disciplinary proceeding taken against you.

12. You must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to these conditions:

A. any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work as a registered Paramedic;

B. any agency you are registered with or apply to be registered with to undertake professional work as a registered Paramedic (at the time of registration);

C. any prospective employer for professional work as a registered Paramedic (at the time of your application);

D. the workplace supervisor required by these conditions.

 

 

Notes

This order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 13 May 2026 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the Order becomes available after it was made.
