Order
ORDER: The Registrar is directed to annotate the HCPC Register to show that, for a period of 12 months from the date that this Order comes into effect (today), you, Dr Christopher Woodgate, must comply with the following Interim Conditions of Practice:
1. You must place yourself and remain under the indirect supervision of a supervisor, who must be a Practitioner Psychologist registered with the HCPC and qualified with The British Psychological Society. You must supply details of your supervisor to the HCPC within 14 days of today’s date.
2. You must maintain a record of every patient assessment/treatment session and share those records with your supervisor.
3. You must meet with your supervisor every four weeks to discuss your clinical caseload, and you must follow their advice and recommendations. For the avoidance of doubt, these meetings can be undertaken remotely by video conferencing.
4. You must arrange for your supervisor to prepare a written report on the review they have undertaken of your records and on your monthly discussions, and you must submit the same to the HCPC every three months. Each report must assess your professional performance and comment on your clinical records.
5. You must notify the HCPC within 14 days of any appointment as a Practitioner Psychologist that you accept within the UK and provide the HCPC with the contact details of your employer. You must also inform the HCPC if you are working in a self-employed capacity.
6. You must inform the HCPC within 7 days if you are subject to any or complaints against you, workplace investigations or disciplinary proceedings.
7. You must inform the HCPC within 14 days if your employment as a Practitioner Psychologist is terminated, whether by you or by your employer.
8. You must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to the interim conditions in this Order:
A. any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work as a Practitioner Psychologist;
B. any agency you are registered with or apply to be registered with to undertake professional work (at the time of application);
C. any prospective employer for professional work (at the time of your application); and
D. any organisation through which you are undertaking professional training which involves patient contact.
9. You must allow the HCPC to share, as necessary, details about your performance, compliance with, and/or progress under these conditions with:
A. any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work;
B. any agency you are registered with or apply to be registered with to undertake professional work (at the time of application);
C. any prospective employer for professional work (at the time of your application); and
D. any organisation through which you are undertaking professional training which involves patient contact.
Notes
This Order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 28 July 2026 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the Order becomes available after it was made.
