Order: The Registrar is directed to make an Interim Conditions of Practice Order of 18 months duration on the following terms with immediate effect:

1) You must abide by the terms of the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust’s plan for your return to work as set out in the email dated 21 August 2023 from a Specialist Lecturer Practitioner (Quality Assurance) at the Trust.

2) You must inform the HCPC within 7 days of the commencement date of that plan.

3) You must inform the HCPC within 7 days of any changes to that plan before and/or during its implementation.

4) You must perform no solo teaching or assessment activities until the first review of this Order on or before 29 February 2024. This condition will be reviewed at the first review hearing of this Order.

5) You must place yourself and remain under the supervision of a workplace supervisor registered with the HCPC or other appropriate statutory regulator and supply details of your supervisor to the HCPC within 14 days. You must attend upon that supervisor as required and follow their advice and recommendations.

6) You must ensure that your supervisor sends a progress report to the HCPC at least 14 days before any HCPC review of this Order. This report should assess your professional performance, give details of your professional training and compliance with the return to work programme, and comment on your ability to maintain appropriate professional conduct with work colleagues, students and patients.

7) You must inform the HCPC within 14 days if your employment with the Trust is terminated, whether by you or by your employer.

8) You must notify the HCPC within 14 days of any other appointment as a Paramedic that you accept within the UK or elsewhere and provide the HCPC with the contact details of your employer.

9) You must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to the interim conditions in this order:

A. any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work as a Paramedic;

B. any agency you are registered with or apply to be registered with (at the time of application):

C. any prospective employer (at the time of your application).

This Order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 29 February 2024 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the order becomes available after it was made.
