Order

ORDER: The Interim Conditions of Practice Order imposed on 18 June 2025 is varied. The conditions are:

1.     You must confine your professional practice to a single employer, which must not be an agency.

2.     You must not carry out agency work as a registered physiotherapist.

3.     You must not carry out professional work in a private practice setting, including online or in-person independent consultancy practice.

4.     You must place yourself and remain under the direct supervision of a workplace supervisor and supply details of your supervisor to the HCPC within seven (7) days of the Operative Date. You must attend upon that supervisor as required and follow their advice and recommendations, including on:

·       Clinical reasoning and judgment

·       Appropriate treatment and advice

·       Record-keeping and note taking

·       Communication

Such supervision may not be carried out online. The supervisor must be an HCPC registered physiotherapist of Band 6 or above and you must attend meetings with the supervisor at least weekly.

‘Direct supervision’ means: The Registrant may not work in the relevant area as a single-handed practitioner. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of work are subject to oversight by a HCPC registered physiotherapist of Band 6 or above.

5.     You must arrange for an audit of the following areas of your practice by your supervisor every month:

A.

    Clinical reasoning and judgment

    Appropriate treatment and advice

    Record-keeping and note taking

    Communication

B.

At least 7 days prior to the next review of this interim order, you must send the HCPC a copy of the results of each audit and a monthly report from your supervisor commenting on your practice including:

         Clinical reasoning and judgment

         Appropriate treatment and advice

         Record-keeping and note taking

         Communication

6.     You must inform the HCPC within seven days if you cease to be employed by your current employer.

7.     You must inform the HCPC within seven days if you take up any other or further professional work.

8.     You must inform the HCPC within seven days if you take up work requiring registration with a professional body outside the United Kingdom, including online work, and you must inform the HCPC within seven days of returning to practice in the United Kingdom.

9.     You must inform the HCPC within seven days of becoming aware of:

A.  any patient safety incident you are involved in;

B.  any investigation started against you; and

C.  any disciplinary proceedings taken against you. 

10. You must inform the following parties that your registration is subject to these conditions:

A.  any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake professional work;

B.  any prospective employer for professional work (at the time of your application);

C.  any organisation through which you are undertaking professional training. 

11. Any condition requiring you to provide any information to the HCPC is to be met by you sending the information to the offices of the HCPC, marked for the attention of the relevant Case Manager.

Notes

This order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 18 May 2026 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the Order becomes available after it was made.
