The Interim Conditions of Practice Order is varied. The conditions are:  

1)    You must confine your professional practice to working for only one employer in a substantive role (not through an agency) and this is to be restricted to the level of a Dietetic Assistant (Band 4) or Dietitian Band 5 post; 

2)    You must not work as a sole practitioner in any context.

3)    You must ensure that your clinical decision-making with regard to all enteral feeding calculations, adjustments, and reviews is approved and signed off by a Registered Dietitian prior to the administration of any such treatment. You must do this until you are signed off as competent in this area by your supervisor (condition 3). 

4)    You must work with a suitably qualified supervisor, who must be a Band 6 Dietitian or above, to formulate a Personal Development Plan designed to address the alleged deficiencies in the following areas of your practice: 

a.    Note-keeping and documentation; 
b.    Treatment planning; 
c.    Information gathering; 
d.    Updating clinical knowledge. 

5)    Within one month of securing employment as a Dietitian or Dietetic Assistant, you must forward a copy of your Personal Development Plan to the HCPC. 

6)    You must meet with your supervisor on a monthly basis to consider your progress towards achieving the aims set out in your Personal Development Plan. 

7)    You must allow your supervisor to provide information to the HCPC, on a monthly basis, about your progress towards achieving the aims set out in your Personal Development Plan. 

8)    You must provide a copy of this Panel’s decision and the terms of the Interim Conditions of Practice Order to all future employers.

This order will be reviewed by the Committee no later than 22 October 2026 or earlier if new evidence which is relevant to the Order becomes available after it was made.
